We get a lot of emails from people asking where and how the floats are hidden... Simply put, they are hidden within a foot or two of the greenway trails. That doesn't mean that they are all laying on the ground. They could be in a tree, in a bush, under a bush, floating, hiding in tall grass.. etc. Where would you hide one? Walk slow.. take it all in and enjoy the hunt. The Glass Float project is all about discovery.

Along the beaches, focus between the mean high water line and the dunes or bluffs. We will never hide them below the high tide line and we will never hide them in the dune grass or in the bluffs.. The dunes are sensitive areas and people should not walk on the tall straight beach grass unless it is a trail. We don't hide them in the clay bluffs because they can be dangerous to climb on.. Safety First!!!.  Tips for where to look along the beaches are near driftwood piles, in or under beach debris, laying in plain site or cleverly hidden in some sort of spot that is a good hiding place.

Occasionally we might hide one in a public space like an area leading to a trail or a park  that is not on a trail or on a beach if there is a spot that looks like a great hiding place, but the majority of them are on the trails and beaches..

Remember, please only keep one per person if you are lucky enough to find more than one.  If you want to re-hide it, please follow the guidelines that we use to hide them.. Hiding them is just as fun as looking for them!
